Calling all Canes to mark a century of excellence, innovation, and Canes spirit.
Tuesday, April 8, 5-9 p.m.
Free and open to the public, the Centennial Celebration will commemorate the legacy of the Hurricanes. Kick off the evening at 5 p.m. at the family-friendly Canes Carnival, including rides, games, and music on the Foote University Green, presented by Hurricane Productions. Enjoy free food stations along Miller Circle from 6 to 8:30 p.m., plus live music and more along Lakeside Patio. At 7 p.m., end the unforgettable evening with a landmark concert featuring generations of famous Frost School alumni, hosted by celebrity TV host and Cane grad Jason Kennedy. Historic video tributes will be followed by a dazzling fireworks display over Lake Osceola at 8:30 p.m. Be part of this historic celebration on the Coral Gables Campus.

‘The Haas Brothers: S. Car Go!’ opens at the Lowe Art Museum
Friday, April 11, 7-9 p.m.

Engaging, unconventional, and humorous, the Haas Brothers are rising stars and provocateurs known for blurring the boundary between art, craft, and design, playfully mashing up the highbrow and the accessible. Featuring newly created, site-specific works in stone and glass, “S. Car Go!” marries the creative duo's latest forays into contemporary glass with their long-standing commitment to exquisitely carved stone. Purchase tickets to attend the opening reception.

The Student Perspective on AI
Wednesday, April 16, 1:45-3:15 p.m.
Organized by the Learning Innovation and Faculty Engagement team, University faculty can explore student perspectives on AI in the classroom, including how students are using it, its effects on their learning, and their views on AI as a teaching tool to prepare them for future industry expectations. Roundtable participants can engage in meaningful conversations with both students and faculty from other Florida universities while collaboratively addressing ethical concerns and exploring strategies to shape effective AI policies in the classroom. University faculty can register for the session on April 16. University students can register to join this insightful virtual exchange.

Bark in the Park
Saturday, April 19, 4 p.m.

Bring your furry friend along for an evening at Mark Light Field to watch the Hurricanes baseball team take on Georgia Tech. Canine guests must be at least 6 months old; one dog per adult is permitted. All dogs must have visible ID tags, remain on a leash at all times, and will be required to check in at the Bark in the Park check-in table by the student entrance on the 3rd-base side of the field. Purchase tickets now for you and your pup or purchase the Bark in the Park package that includes two tickets, a framed photo of you and your dog at the game, a leash, a toy and a paw magnet.
