Coconut Grove Theatre Festival
May 8-11
The newly launched Coconut Grove Theatre Festival is bringing theater back to Coconut Grove with eight original plays by local playwrights and directors. The four-day festival is produced by William Hector, a University theatre arts alumnus who wrote one of the plays, includes a production directed by Maha McCain, assistant professor at the College of Arts and Sciences, and performances by Rachel Eddy and Robert Fritz, theatre arts alumni. Purchase tickets for a weekend of staged play readings at The Woman's Club of Coconut Grove.

The Department of Art and Art History at the University of Miami College of Arts and Sciences proudly presents the Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition featuring works by 12 undergraduate student artists. The Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition is on view through Sunday, May 11, at the Bakehouse Art Complex, Miami, 561 NW 32nd Street, Miami, FL 33127.

Congratulate the newly elected Faculty Senate officers.
During the Faculty Senate’s election meeting on Wednesday, April 23, the Senate elected new officers for the 2025-2026 academic year: Helen Bramlett, senate chair, Miller School of Medicine and College of Arts and Sciences; Albert Varon, first vice chair, Miller School of Medicine; and Dorothy Hindman, second vice chair, Frost School of Music.
