All University of Miami students and faculty and staff members are invited to come together for the Women’s Commission fall kickoff events. Participants will be able to mingle, connect, and learn about the group’s programming, initiatives, and volunteer opportunities with a community that supports, empowers, and uplifts. Register to attend the meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 9, on the Coral Gables Campus or Wednesday, Oct. 1, on the Medical Campus.
IDSC grants program: Call for proposals

The Frost Institute for Data Science and Computing (IDSC) is expanding the University’s use of data science through its Collaborative Data Science grants program, which is designed to increase the use of data science to foster breakthroughs. For the 2025-2026 academic year, IDSC seeks proposals that use data science to improve access to health care, accelerate services, and improve health care efficiency. Other topics and issues are also welcome. Pre-submission inquiries are encouraged. Register to attend a 30-minute Zoom information session.
’Cane Angel Network investor meeting

The ’Cane Angel Network facilitates investments in University of Miami-related startups by University of Miami-related investors. This is a unique opportunity for accredited investors from the University community—including alumni, faculty and staff members, and parents of students—to engage with and support Cane startups. With a fully self-service professional headshot photo booth, Canes can stop by the center located at 5225 Ponce De Leon Blvd. to take a free headshot. No appointment is needed.
