These programs, which include musical performances, cutting-edge theatrical premieres, thought-provoking lectures, author readings, art exhibitions, and film screenings, reflect the University’s multicultural vibrancy.

Lowe Art Museum offers a space to pause, connect.
As the University’s academic museum and Miami’s first and longest continuously operating art museum, the Lowe Art Museum boasts a permanent collection representing 5,000 years of human creativity on every inhabited continent. Museum patrons may access exhibitions throughout the year with free general admission to the museum and purchase tickets to attend public programs. Every month, the Lowe hosts a virtual “Slow Looking” program and in-person art workshop for families, in addition to exhibition opening receptions and guest lecturers.

Authors, guest speakers take a deep dive.
The Center for the Humanities supports a variety of events for the University and South Florida community, including signature events, such as the Henry King Stanford Distinguished Professors in the Humanities Series, the Lady Blanka Rosenstiel Endowed Program in Polish Heritage, the Edith Bleich Speaker Series, and Book Talks, featuring University faculty authors.
The University Libraries—ranked among the top 50 academic research libraries in North America—organizes numerous in-person and virtual programs and events, which are open to the University community and public. Additionally, the exhibitions program provides access to the libraries’ rich and diverse archival collections while highlighting unique and rare holdings.

Student creators exhibit works.
Part of the Department of Art and Art History in the College of Arts and Sciences, University art galleries exhibit works by graduate and undergraduate students and faculty members as well as renowned artists throughout the year. Student works can also be viewed on the online gallery. -
Creatives take the stage.
This month University theater arts students take the stage at the Jerry Herman Theatre, kicking off the season on Sept. 26 with a production of “12 Angry Jurors,” adapted by Sherman L. Sergel, a play that tells the story of 12 jurors charged with the unenviable task of deciding a young man’s fate. University students and faculty and staff members can obtain free entry to an 8 p.m. show on Thursday, Oct. 2, by presenting a valid Cane ID.
At the Frost School of Music, Signature Series concerts are the highlight of the season, featuring renowned international artists performing alongside Frost ensembles. These concerts offer a unique opportunity to enjoy world-class music at an unbeatable price. The Frost Music Live concert series includes more than 100 events on the Coral Gables Campus each academic school year.

Located in the Oscar E. Dooly Memorial Classroom Building, the Bill Cosford Cinema is a single-screen, art-house cinema serving the University, Coral Gables, and greater Miami for more than 60 years. Programs include educational opportunities ranging from special lecture series, guest scholars, international film festivals, and engagements with acclaimed filmmakers. -
Designing spaces for impact.
The School of Architecture offers events throughout the year that are open to the public, including its annual Tecnoglass Lecture Series “Housing for All,” which this year invites the community to examine how architecture can transcend the provision of shelter to actively cultivate community, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
