2025 Compliance and Ethics Week

Join us during Compliance and Ethics Week for this year’s interactive session, “Healthy Relationships and Responsible Communication.” Led by Maria Sevilla, Title IX coordinator, the session will cover the importance of cultivating appropriate relationships and responsible communication in the workplace. Undergraduate students interested in careers in media and sports can now minor in sports media, a new offering from the School of Communication. Focusing on the methods and techniques for communicating about sports in a variety of media formats, the 15-credit minor prepares students for careers in roles including sports reporter, writer, photojournalist, announcer, producer and director, and public relations specialist. Students are encouraged to pursue internships to fine-tune their interests while gaining experience and networking. Safe Space Shelter Drive
Now through Friday, Oct. 24
Canes are invited to support survivors of domestic violence by donating personal care and hygiene products. Coordinated by the Title IX Office, participate in the third annual collection drive in support of Safe Space, a shelter committed to assisting domestic violence survivors and their families in Miami-Dade. Several types of personal care items may be donated at the confirmed drop-off locations during normal business hours. Items to be donated include toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, soap bars, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, and nail clippers. Find a list of drop off locations.
‘HEDDA’ free screening

Bill Cosford Cinema
Attend a free advance screening at the Bill Cosford Cinema of "Hedda," writer-director Nia DaCosta's reimagining of Henrik Ibsen's renowned stage drama from 1891, starring Tessa Thompson, Nina Hoss, and Imogene Poots. Set in early 20th-century England, the film follows the titular Hedda ( Thompson), a recently married woman from a good family whose desire for further wealth has put her academic husband George into debt.
