‘New Box, New Musicals’ returns to the Black Box Theatre

The Department of Theatre Arts is thrilled to once again bring five brand-new musicals to the Black Box Theatre. These shows are written and developed by students of the Tisch School of the Arts, Graduate Musical Theatre Writing program at New York University (NYU). This continued creative partnership with NYU will be under the direction and musical direction of NDavid Williams. Tickets are available for Wednesday, March 25 through Saturday, March 28, with a 2 p.m. matinee and evening performance. Tickets are free, but space is limited. Reservations are strongly recommended.
Nominate an outstanding colleague for the 2026 Clinical Research Impact Award

The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Miami Clinical and Translational Science Institute are accepting nominations for the 2026 Clinical Research Impact Award for both Sylvester and non-Sylvester employees engaged in clinical research across the University. Nominees must be University of Miami full-time research staff whose role is primarily in the capacity as a clinical research professional including clinical research associates, clinical research coordinators, clinical research nurses, clinical research managers, research analysts, research assistants, research support administrators, research data analysts, research regulatory analysts, and research support staff. Use this link to complete a nomination form and upload the required supporting documentation. Nominations will be reviewed by the Clinical Research Impact Award committee. Nominees and awardees will be recognized at various events in Spring 2026. Spend Saturdays at The U With Movies: ‘For a Few Dollars More’ (1965)

Join us at the Bill Cosford Cinema for Sergio Leone’s 1965 spaghetti Western, part of a special Saturday series at the Cosford Cinema celebrating the work of the visionary filmmaker and his legendary “Dollars Trilogy”—“A Fistful of Dollars” (1964), “For a Few Dollars More” (1965), and “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966).” This spring, experience the entire trilogy on the big screen as it was meant to be seen, presented in stunning digital 4K. This series is made possible thanks to the generous support of the Norton Herrick Center for Motion Picture Studies at the University of Miami.
