Take in student innovation at the College of Engineering’s Senior Design Expo
Tuesday, April 28, 5-8 p.m.
The Senior Design Expo challenges students to tackle real-world, interdisciplinary projects. Throughout the process, they apply engineering principles—from defining requirements and conceptualizing solutions to prototyping and testing. The University community and the public are invited to experience the innovative solutions students have developed and celebrate their hard work and creativity. Register to attend.
Attend a Lowe Art Museum opening reception

The Lowe Art Museum presents a joint opening reception of “El Pasado Mío: Afrodescent Contributions to Cuban Art” and “Afrocubanismo: Highlights from the Ramon and Nerycs Cernuda Collection.” Purchase tickets to attend the event, which is free for Lowe members.

Register your child for the Beaux Arts Art Camp
Registration is now open
This summer, the Beaux Arts Art Camp offers young artists an immersive, hands-on experience filled with drawing, painting, sculpture, and inspiring museum exploration. It’s a chance for children to spark their creativity, build new skills, and enjoy a summer of engaging projects and memorable fun at the Lowe Art Museum. Registration spots remain open for seven weekly sessions: June 15-19, June 22-26, June 29-July 2, July 6-10, July 13-17, July 20-24, and July 27-31.

As the semester comes to an end, take time for yourself at one of the well-being offerings at the University.
- Find nine ways to de-stress at University Libraries including: Pet Therapy Dogs on April 28 at 1 p.m. and May 2 at noon; free snacks from April 28 to May 5, 10 p.m.-6 a.m.; and Counseling Center activities on May 4, 2-5 p.m.
- Caritas for Us! on Tuesday, April 28, noon-1 p.m. and 4-5 p.m.: Offered by the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program, attend a webinar for an introduction to Caritas Processes, 10 principles that will help guide you into a deeper and more awakened way of being.
- Mindfulness for Inner Resilience on Wednesday, April 29, 4-4:45 p.m.: Attend an introductory mindfulness session designed to support inner resilience. Offered by the University Libraries, this 45-minute online session introduces the fundamentals of mindfulness meditation and movement, with periods of guided practice and opportunities for reflection and questions.
- Garden Volunteering Hour on Wednesday, April 29, 4:30-5:30 p.m.: Spend some time outdoors and help care for the sustainability garden on the Coral Gables Campus.
