Purchase your Coral Gables campus parking permit  
Starting today
UM faculty, staff, and students can purchase a parking permit for the Coral Gables Campus online. Gables One Tower employees will receive a separate communication regarding permit applications soon. The open enrollment period for all faculty and staff began Monday June 24 at 12:01 a.m. (Sunday night). Permit sales for students open in early July. Learn more.

SecureCanes wireless and UM wired networks update
Monday, June 24–Wednesday, June 26
UMIT will be updating the SecureCanes wireless and the UM wired networks on all three campuses, starting at the Rosenstiel campus at 8 p.m. on Monday, June 24, followed by the Coral Gables campus on Tuesday, June 25, and the medical campus on Wednesday, June 26. Those already connected to the wireless/wired networks or wanting to connect will need to accept the new authentication certificate, which will be a pop-up prompt. Small group training at Herbert Wellness Center
Starting Monday, July 1 
Grab a friend—or two—and register for small group training, offered twice per week at the Herbert Wellness Center. Each 50-minute session involves a circuit-style routine, including weight training, functional training, cardio, and stretching, under the supervision and direction of a certified trainer. Don’t have a workout buddy? Sign up to join an existing group. Each session runs for five weeks and classes are scheduled based on the availability of participants, trainers, and space. Kick off FY20 with TALK 
Cycle one now open
Leaders are encouraged to have regular check-ins with members of their team throughout the year. The University of Miami’s FY20 TALK for Success performance evaluation for staff is now open in Workday. This is your opportunity to review accomplishments and overall performance with your direct reports. It is also the time to begin discussions around goals for this new fiscal year. Review this tip sheet to learn how to complete the performance review form and acknowledge that you have completed the TALK discussion with your employee. Frost Chopin Festival
Multiple dates; kicks off Sunday, June 23 at 7 p.m.
Experience the Frost Chopin Festival at the UM Gusman Concert Hall starting this Sunday. The 10-day Frost Chopin Festival and Academy returns to the Coral Gables campus and the public is invited not only to the festival’s seven evening concerts but to the academy’s daily workshops, lectures, and private lessons that the Chopin masters will impart to 30 budding pianists who are coming from Japan, South Korea, Poland, England, and North America to learn from the best. Concert tickets are on sale now, including a free event on Tuesday, June 25 which will feature performances by some of the most talented young pianists attending the Frost Chopin Academy.
