Instructional Design and Technology certificate program
Multiple dates starting Monday, July 1
The Division of Continuing and International Education is offering a new Instructional Design and Technology certificate program, which will give faculty and teaching assistants the opportunity to learn about the latest educational technology tools to implement in an online learning environment. Through online courses participants can learn ways to enhance their curriculum, foster student connections, and utilize multimedia e-learning tools for more engaging learning experiences. Eligible UM employees may receive 20 percent off the tuition price. Register now. Classes kick off Monday, July 1 and conclude in late October. Learn more.

Faculty Staff Assistance Program seminar on life strategies for managing stress
Tuesday, July 9–Friday, July 12
Learn to develop proactive responses that can help to lower the negative effects of prolonged stress, shift mindsets, and eliminate unhealthy habits. UM employees can register to attend the session, which is facilitated by a Faculty Staff Assistance Program consultant. Graduate program tuition remission information session
Wednesday, July 10 at 12 p.m.
UM employees can learn more about the College of Arts and Sciences' Interdisciplinary and Professional Studies graduate programs and post-graduate certificate available through tuition remission benefits. Attendees can ask questions while enjoying a light lunch at the Shalala Student Center on the Coral Gables campus. Register now. Calling green thumbs
Thursday, July 11 at 3 p.m.
GreenU invites UM faculty and staff to volunteer their time on Thursday, July 11 to help weed out plots and add mulch in the sustainable garden near the Gifford arboretum on the Coral Gables campus. Employees enrolled in UM’s Well ’Canes program can earn points by attending these sessions. It’s been a week since parking permit sales launched for Coral Gables employees. Now is a great time to consider alternative commuter options available through the office of parking and transportation. UM faculty and staff may be eligible for up to 400 Well ’Canes points for swapping their parking permit and opting for one of the University’s mobility options.
