Employee flu shot compliance deadline is next week

As part of the University of Miami’s COVID-19 response, faculty and staff and supporting team members on all campuses are required to receive the seasonal flu vaccine. Faculty and staff are encouraged to comply, even if working or studying remotely. All employees are required to receive an annual influenza vaccination prior to returning to campus. Flu shots are currently available at multiple University locations.

Review availability of flu shots at select campus locations.
Flu vaccinations are currently available from the University’s Employee Health Office and UHealth Clinics at Walgreens. Faculty and staff members are able to schedule appointments on the Medical and Coral Gables campuses. Visit the Employee Health Office website for a full listing of availability, including details on how to submit proof of flu vaccinations received at alternative off-campus locations.

A management dashboard for flu immunizations is available in Workday. The dashboard will allow managers to support the immunization compliance for their teams. As referenced in the COVID-19 Return to Onsite Work Employee policy, all employees are required to receive an annual influenza vaccination or possess an approved exemption, medical or religious.
