Official University app gets a new look

With new “personas” allowing for a more personalized mobile experience, the redesigned University of Miami mobile app provides quick access to campus news, information, and resources.
Mobile app visual

Next time you launch the University of Miami mobile app to check the shuttle routes, you may notice the app now has a new visual design. Version 5.0 of the official UM app – which first launched in 2011 – introduces personas for new and returning students, faculty, and staff.

Students can browse the course catalog, as well as access CaneLink and UM Libraries all within the app interface. Faculty and staff can easily access Workday and other various employee resources that populate the “tiles” on the app’s home screen and the “hamburger” drop-down menu within the app. The shuttle routes and campus maps remain—keeping all app users a step ahead as they navigate their days at the U.

News@TheU and Life@TheU are also now accessible directly within the app, along with the latest videos of campus events and live social feeds from campus accounts.

The app is available for download on the Apple App Store and on Google Play. Search: UMiami in your respective store, or visit mobile.miami.edu for more information.
