Citing that vaccines remain the best tool to safeguard a person’s health and the health of our community against the coronavirus, the University of Miami Monday announced a new Voluntary COVID-19 Vaccine Incentive Program.
All students have been strongly encouraged to be vaccinated against COVID-19; and now, all fully vaccinated degree-seeking undergraduate, graduate, law, and medical students enrolled in Fall 2021 classes are eligible to participate in weekly and monthly drawings for prizes ranging from Hurricanes football, basketball, and baseball game suites to gift cards, airline vouchers, and more. In addition, the University has partnered with Walgreens to offer an on-campus vaccine clinic that administers Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines in the StormSurge Room at the Hurricane Food Court from Aug. 17 to 20 and from Aug. 23 to 26. Students can schedule a vaccination appointment on campus or find other vaccine locations at vaccinefinder.org.
Students who were vaccinated by UHealth or who have already uploaded their card to their MyUHealthChart account are automatically qualified to receive prizes. Students vaccinated outside of UHealth must upload a copy of their COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card to their MyUHealthChart account to be eligible. Any vaccines received that are approved by the World Health Organization are eligible for submission.
