Recently, Great Start was recognized by the National Association of Student Affairs Personnel Administrators as the 2024 Florida Program of Distinctions. However, these exceptional leaders stem way beyond their involvement in Great Start, exploring leadership across campus.

At UM, the celebrations are led by the Alliance of Latin American Students (ALAS) who spend the month sharing their culture.
